解読 — kaidoku — to decode
Every day, millions of people sign documents they don't understand. Apartment leases. Employment contracts. Terms of service. Divorce settlements. The options have always been: pay a lawyer hundreds of dollars, Google it and get confused, or just sign and hope for the best.
Most people do option three. Not because they're careless — because options one and two are genuinely bad. Kaido exists to make option four possible: upload it, understand it in under a minute, for less than $15.
The name comes from the Japanese word 解読 (kaidoku) — to decode or decipher. That's exactly what we do. We take the deliberately complex language of legal documents and translate it into something any person can understand and act on.
We built Kaido because we believe legal clarity shouldn't be a luxury. It shouldn't cost $300/hour. It shouldn't require a law degree. And it definitely shouldn't require you to trust that the document you're signing is fair without being able to read it.
